What is Seattle Frocktails?
Seattle Frocktails is a not-for-profit community event for Puget Sound sewists to get together, make new friends and admire each other’s finest handmade outfits over delicious cocktails (or mocktails). Inspired by other Frocktails parties around the world, we hosted events in 2018, 2019. and 2023 Seattle Frocktails 2023 marked our first year back since the pandemic and took place Friday, September 22th at Century Ballroom!
We welcome sewists of all abilities in the Puget Sound, Pacific Northwest or wherever! Anyone can join in, really! The idea is that you wear something you’ve made yourself. You can sew a new garment if you like, but it’s also a great opportunity to wear an older outfit that you feel deserves another outing. And despite the name, you don’t have to wear a dress! We want this to be an inclusive event, so wear what makes you happy!
Every penny made from ticket sales goes towards making Seattle Frocktails a fabulous party. We're always working on the finer details, but you can expect delicious cocktails (with non-alcoholic options available, of course!), nibbles, prizes and beautiful handmade garments!
Sound good? Come and join us! We’ll let you know when the next event is, so keep an eye on the website, or follow us on Instagram or Facebook.
Note: Seattle Frocktails is a community event run by volunteers and is being hosted on a not-for-profit basis.
